July 1st, 2011 – Hypercom released an end of life notice for the Optimum L4250 payment terminal. Hypercom will cease taking orders and end development on October 31st, 2011. The end of service date was set at January 31st, 2015 when service and repair support will be discontinued. Hypercom recommends customers to begin planning migration strategies to L5000 series multi-lane payment terminals. See Hypercom EOL Letter L4250.
